Where To?

Did something like this ever happen to you? You meet up with a bunch of friends, and then you pose the question “so, where do we go now?”. Then you start to wonder what bars, clubs, or restaurants are nearby, wondering which one to choose.

If something like that happened to you in the past, then you are going to love the functionality the FutureTap-developed app Where To? has to offer. What does this app do? As its name so adequately points out, it aims to provide on answer to the question “where to?”.

Or to put it in other words, it will provide you with info about various points of interest near you. As in the example presented above, you can use the app to find bars, clubs and restaurants near you. Please note that the app is not limited to finding bars, clubs and restaurants. It can be used to find pretty much anything you want. You will definitely realize that when you launch the app and see the various categories arranged on a rather good looking wheel.

Say you want to use the app to find a nice restaurant. You can locate various restaurants near your location; with the app’s built-in web viewer you can take a look at a restaurants website. You can take a view at the menu, or even make a reservation if you want to. If you don’t know how to get to that restaurant, you can use the TomTom or Navigon app to get turn by turn voice directions, or you can use the preinstalled Maps app instead.

Getting back to the example presented above, say you don’t meet up and then start wondering where to go, say you decided where to go before meeting up. You can use the Where To? app to select a place to go, then you can share that location with your friends via email, text message, Twitter or Facebook.

For an extra $0.99 you can get Where To? 3D, an augmented reality upgrade that you can get within the app. Instead of reading maps, you can use Where To? 3D to find points of interests by using the iPhone’s camera. You can try this upgrade free of charge for a trial period of 30 days.

With the Where To? app you will never have to ask yourself the question “where can I go to eat something?” or the question “where can I go to buy something?”. The app provides you with a handy way of finding all sorts of points of interest near you.
